Oneday workshop in UC Davis, California

"Quilt" is an art work by Persian New Art Group, that this time was done by the help of Robin Hill's students

One of a member of the group (Minoosh)collaborated with students to create another version of this piece.
All materials were collected at Arboretum, where this event was running.

Students of Hearne Pardee, another associate professor of art, are practicing plain air painting — with the art installation as their subject.

Pile of Pollution

Another Festival in Iran this time in Kotena village

Photos by Shahrnaz Zarkesh

We were impressed by too many rubbish stocked in the river.By the time we got there it made us to create another version of "Pile of Pollution"
We decided to ask people to collect their garbage to make a sculpture out of rubbish
We wanted to point out the pollution in this area. Garages were saving for two days.
Hoping that this installation could give people to pay attention to their polluted area

Salt Lake

Salt Lake
24th Environmental Art Festival was held in Tabriz and Oromieh cities in September 2010 so that artists could display their newest works along Salt Lake. Two first days of the festival were for work in the shore of Oromieh Lake and the last day for the meeting of participant artists and local artists of Oromieh and Tabriz in the city of Tabriz. An extensive area of the lake has been dried, that’s why you need to walk some kilometers on a dry bed cracked like desert to reach water.

Work 3549
Work 3549 is one of our symbolic group presentation done in Oromieh Lake. Destruction of environment and inattention to this issue like any other disorder dominant every part of the country had caused Oromieh big lake, perhaps the most important natural attraction of Oromieh, to dry. It could be understood from dullness of homes and other places of “Chi Chest”. 3549 was a symbol of this drought. We took 3549 steps from residence to water; a social movement not only related to the drought of a piece of land also to its cultural and social consequences of it. These steps show our distance from nature, a distance from drought to the still-alive lake
